Overall Sales                   + 5.8%<br \/>\n. Overseas Tourism Spend          + 15.8%<br \/>\n. E- Commerce                     + 3.6%<br \/>\n. Entertainment                   + 12.5%<br \/>\n. Discretionary                   + 5.9%<br \/>\n. Necessities                     + 5.8%<\/p>\n<p>The growth in Tourism spend is strong and was largely driven by Chinese , German and US tourists according to the report <\/p>\n<p>In particular the introduction of non-stop direct flights from Beijing and the soon to be commenced direct flight from Shenzhen to Dublin will see a significant rise in the Chinese spend.<\/p>\n<p>Expenditure by French ( +16.7% ) and US ( +13.4 % ) tourists also showing strong growth <\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere on our platform you can read the economic and labour market findings from the report which while positive point out a significant skills and accommodation problem for the capital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Todays Dublin Economic Monitor report by Dublin City Council has highlighted a fifth consecutive quarter of growth in LUAS passenger trips with upward of 10 million passenger trips per quarter .
