Junior Accountant
We are currently recruiting a commercially minded and analytical Junior Accountant to join our client’s growing finance team based in Cavan. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant who is keen to develop strong technical skills, gain exposure to a manufacturing environment, and build a long-term career within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
Location: Onsite – 5 days per week
Salary: €47,000 – €50,000 DOE
Job Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPI reporting.
Assist with cost and material analysis, identifying trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
Monitor manufacturing costs and margins, providing insights to operational and commercial teams.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong data integrity and controls.
Perform balance sheet, sales and margin reconciliations.
Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning activities.
Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to finance projects focused on improving systems, processes and reporting.
Partner with cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain and engineering.
Experience & Qualifications
Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
Ideally 1+ year relevant accounting or finance experience.
Manufacturing experience advantageous, but not essential.
ERP system exposure required (SAP highly desirable).
Strong Excel skills with an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Eager to learn, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
