Official Opening of Ireland’s Largest Irish Owned Net Zero Certified Distribution Centre
Primeline were incredibly proud to officially open ‘Ireland’s Largest Irish-Owned Net Zero Energy Certified Distribution Centre’ on the 15th May, Our new unit 12E in Ashbourne. The €50,000,000 investment spanning 360,000 sq. feet is testament to our commitment to sustainability, innovation and continued growth here at Primeline.
“The development of this Hub, along with our investment in new technologies, is a product of careful planning and strategy and serves as a symbol of the vision we have for the Primeline Group” said Tim Cummins, CEO.
Primeline are the largest employer in County Meath with 1100 staff already working at our Ashbourne headquarters. The construction of this new distribution centre will create an additional 400 positions across a range of divisions such as IT, operations, sales and transport.
We were delighted to welcome Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke as well as Minister for Justice Helen McEntee to take part in our official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Minister Burke had this to say “The story of Primeline Group is one of ambition and entrepreneurship, and the group has built a truly impressive presence across Ireland and the UK”.
It was great to see so many familiar faces for this remarkable occasion. At Primeline, we are only midway through our journey, and we are committed to investing in our people, technology and infrastructure, always keeping our customers at the forefront.
